Based on over 40 years of research with thousands of couples, The Art and Science of Love workshop will give you new insights and research-based skills that can dramatically improve the intimacy and friendship in your relationship and help you manage conflict in a healthy, positive way. Along with the memory of re-connecting and the knowledge that “we can do this,” you will take home a box set of cards, tools, and tips to support your relationship in your everyday lives.

The Workshop Program

In a word: Science! Our curriculum is developed from 40 years of research with more than 3,000 couples. It’s grounded on what actually works in relationships that are happy and stable, not idealistic notions or anecdotal evidence of what marriage ought to be.

This workshop is designed for ALL couples in a committed relationship. If you have a strong relationship, this workshop will provide you with insights and tools to foster further closeness, friendship, and trust. If your relationship is distressed, this two-day workshop will provide you with a greater understanding of your relationship and a road map for repair. No public discussion or disclosure is involved. All work is done as a couple and Gottman trained therapists are available to support one-on-one during exercises.

You will learn how to

At the workshop, you’ll learn how to: foster respect, affection, and closeness; build and share a deeper connection with each other; keep conflict discussions calm, break through and resolve conflict gridlock; and Workshop topics include:

Learn to recognize the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and what to do if they are attacking your marriage
Identify your relationship’s specific strengths and how to build on them
Learn about the effects of physiological flooding and how it may affect conflict resolution
Use the Fondness and Admiration System to renew respect and care for one another
Create an Emotional Bank Account that you can draw upon in times of stress
Develop your problem-solving skills, including the 6 skills for effective conflict resolutions
Find out how you can make your dreams and aspirations come true for you, your partner, and your relationship

Kimberly is passionate about helping others and her specialty is helping couples improve their relationship. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 52717) with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, groups and families. She is a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist and Art & Science of Love Weekend Workshop Leader. She is also certified to present all 3 levels of the Gottman Method training sequence and is a consultant to clinicians getting trained in the Gottman Method.

Price listed is per couple. Registration is NOT complete until full payment is received prior to the workshop. You will receive an email receipt shortly after your registration. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders. Closer to the workshop, a staff member will call you to complete paperwork, and you will be emailed everything you need before the workshop.

Attention Gottman Trainees
All Gottman trained clinicians and educators are now eligible for a $100 discount to attend this workshop. A personal workshop experience is beneficial for your professional and personal toolkit, and will help you to better integrate Gottman Interventions into your work with couples.

Transfer/Cancellation Policy
Refunds less $50.00 administration fee are given for cancellations received in writing via email to admin@panganibantherapy.com, no less than 21 days prior to the event. Refunds are not possible less than 21 days before the event, regardless of personal circumstances. Cancellation policy is final and not negotiable. You may, however, transfer your registration to another event within one year of the workshop date. We regret we are unable to extend your transfer beyond one year or transfer your registration to workshops offered by other trainers, The Gottman Institute, or other organizations. If you choose to transfer to a different workshop date, you will no longer be eligible for a refund. If a workshop is canceled by us you will get a full refund. Costs incurred for travel arrangements, however, are the sole responsibility of the individual or entity that made those arrangements. If the venue needs to be changed, no reimbursement will be given.
